If you’ve ever been in any civic organization, athletic club, union or group that uses Robert’s Rules or Order- then you followed my intro line. If you haven’t let me explain.

Someone in the group makes a motion- in this case to disband our fat-happy-inefficient-ineffective- mammoth government. Then someone else in the room (hopefully many people this election year) seconds the motion. Then there can be a time of discussion for details. I can include a list of details that would be staggering, but I don’t have the time right now. Then we all vote in favor by saying I, or if you oppose then you usually raise your hand when they say all opposed. Again, in my hypothetical example no one opposes. We disband our government and take it back to it’s constitutional roots with all new representatives and the power back in the hands of the people.
