With the news on John Edwards extramarital affair, it’s a good time to pray for our leaders at the government level and even at your local church. Positions of power can be a breeding ground for this type of behavior if not careful. The apostle Paul says lest ye stand that ye might fall. I usually like the NIV, but the King James works better for that one.
It is sad and disappointing to see how many of our leaders have indulged the fleeting desires of sin.
I am no fan of Senator Edwards politics given that he is very liberal and I’m extremely conservative. That is neither here nor there, because nothing good comes from these stories. It’s not like our culture will say. You know; we make everything on TV about sex and image and sin, and we should stop this. In a few days, someone will probably write a story condoning this behavior because it was between two consenting adults or something. Just watch. What Senator Edwards does on his own time doesn’t effect how he governs? It’s coming just wait.
